DSP was elected in 2020
Priya, who hails from Nagaud in Satna district, was selected for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the State Service Examination 2020 and secured second place in the selection list in the result declared on June 9, 2023. While giving an interview to PTI-Bhasha, excited with her success, Priya said, “During the final year of my graduation in Biotechnology, I had decided that I wanted to join the administrative service. I am inspired by Tina Dabi, who topped the Civil Services Examination held in 2015 by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Priya said, “It was always an inspiration in my mind that Tina Dabi topped the Civil Services Examination in her first attempt at the age of only 22. I am also influenced by other senior officers of the Indian Administrative Service.
Priya’s family is like this
Coming from an ordinary background, Priya’s father Krishnasharan Pathak is an assistant teacher in a government primary school. 26-year-old Priya has obtained a master’s degree in political science. He said, “I was determined that I have to succeed in the State Services Examination. I never gave up while preparing for the exam. When the goal is big, one has to work hard and be patient until success is achieved.
Priya said that if given a chance, she would focus on ensuring quality education in government institutions and providing better health facilities to women. He is currently unmarried and is in no hurry to get married. “Right now, I am thinking about my upcoming appointment as Deputy Collector and my training rather than marriage,” she said laughingly.
Priya Pathak’s primary education was at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Nagaud. After this, he studied from eighth to twelfth in Navodaya Vidyalaya Raikwara, Satna. Priya graduated in Home Science from Jabalpur Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya and then did post graduation in Political Science from Holkar College, Indore. Gave the MPPSC exam for the first time in 2019 and got the first position in the results that came today. However, the 2020 result was already out and he was selected for the post of DSP. Priya’s younger sister Pratibha Pathak has done MSc in Maths and is now preparing for competitive exams at home. Priya has a brother Ayush Pathak studying in class 10th.
